Find a meeting. Tap once. You're in.

2,585 meetings, every day of the week. Nobody will make you talk. Listening is enough.
First time on Zoom? 3 things to know
  1. You can usually keep your camera off and just listen. A few groups ask for video, and if so it says so on the meeting.
  2. You only speak if you want to. Saying "I'm new, I'd just like to listen" is completely fine.
  3. First names only. What's said in the room stays in the room.

From someone who's been there

"A win is just a high-interest loan you pay back later."

Racing thoughts? Breathe with the circle before you pick a room.

Make a 10-minute bargain with your brain. Join a room with your camera off. Put headphones on, pace, or fold laundry. If you still want to leave after 10 minutes, you can. Just give it 10 minutes first.

A note on Zoom: some groups use a passcode that Zoom won't fill in by itself. When you tap Join, we copy the passcode for you. If Zoom asks for it, just paste it (long-press and Paste on a phone, or Ctrl+V on a computer).

Common questions

What is a sponsor?

A sponsor is someone further along in recovery who has worked the steps and offers to walk with you, one on one, for free. They aren't a therapist or a judge. They're someone who knows the pull of the bet, helps you stay honest, and picks up the phone when the urge hits. Most people find a sponsor by listening at meetings and asking someone whose story sounds like theirs.

What does it mean to do 90 meetings in 90 days?

"90 in 90" means going to a meeting every day for your first 90 days. Early recovery is shaky. A daily meeting breaks the gambling routine, fills the hours you used to spend betting, and surrounds you with people who get it. By day 90, you have a habit, a few phone numbers and a new way to spend your time.

Why is it important to use the phone list?

Gambling grows in secret. Many meetings share a list of members who are happy to take a call. The idea is to call before the bet, not after. Picking up the phone feels hard at first, but one call can break the trance. It also helps the person you call, because they're staying in recovery too.
